Please read our plan below for moving forward in Radiant Hope in Beacons of Light.
Plank One: Staff and Office Renovation
We have created a plan to make our staff more efficient and effective, by using economies of scale and division of labor to empower people to complete their missions. By making the administrative side of the parish work more efficiently, we can be better stewards of our time and attention, and be able to focus more on the things that ultimately matter the most: the Sacraments and our relationship with the living God.
The organizational part of this plank is on track to be completed by the beginning of September 2025. We will have administrative resources combined to work together at two central locations, at St. Vivian and St. Bartholomew. Once the physical and online infrastructure is in place at the beginning of September, we can begin the work of updating records, making databases compatible, and as a result, communication more effective. Eventually we will be outputting communication daily in a variety of contemporary media, to keep parishioners in touch and reach out to the community better to support our evangelization team. We will also be heavily recruiting volunteers to help with more tasks around the churches, so please reach out to your parish councils with your skills and willingness to help. There’s lots of things to be done, but we are rolling up our sleeves and getting to work!
Plank Two: Parish Catechesis & Sacramental Prep
In line with our theme of Radiant Hope, we are transforming faith formation into dynamic, welcoming environments for all ages to foster joyful, transformed Christian living, calling people to live as missionary disciples.
Radiant Hope is a rallying point for our future, for lived discipleship in our community. For our children, their formation will introduce them to the truth, beauty, and goodness of the Catholic faith, so that their spirits are fed. At the same time, we will encourage the participation of adults to learn more, which includes formation led by priests and lay people. All this will hinge on the Lord's Day, for people to be together and grow in their relationship with God and with each other. We are praying that in the future this great time of discipleship formation for our parishes can culminate in a Sunday evening Mass.
Plank Three: Liturgical Renewal
In this third plank, we have four goals:
